Homer is the series' main character. He is 38 years old and works in /Charles Montgomery Burns's Nuclear Power Plant, if you can call it "working" at all. While he is not the brightest guy, he can get very emotional, especially when it comes to his neighbor, /Ned Flanders or to troubles related to Bart. He spends most of his time at Moe's Bar (see /Moe Szyslak) with his friends /Carl, /Lenny and /Barney Gumble. His hobbies include heavy drinking (esp. Duff Beer), television and whatever can create a good storyline for the episode.
