Libra

Libra (the balance beam, or scales) is a constellation of the zodiac. In Greek mythology it corresponds to the balance which Themis?, the goddess of Justice, uses to weigh decisions. It is a fairly inconspicuous constellation and has no star of first magnitude.

In some cosmologies, Gemini is associated with the classical element Air, and thus called a Air Sign (with Libra and Aquarius). Its polar opposite is Aries.

According to Greek Mythology, the constellation depicts Astraea's scales of Justice. Astraea (the Virgo) was known as the goddess of justice, hence the scales of justice Libra nearby.
