While Ballroom Dance includes most of the swing dances popular today, the swing and ballroom dance cultures are distinct. Club-style swing dancers often find ballroom dancers inexpressive and too worried about technique. Conversely, ballroom dancers may get frustrated when a swing dancer doesn't lead a step "correctly", or when they hold a figure several counts extra to match a break in the music. These, of course, are [Broad Generalizations]?.

Popular swing dances include:

Lindy Hop -- Charleston -- East Coast Swing (aka [Triple Swing]? and [Street Swing]?)

[Country Swing]? is yet another division of swing with a largely distinct culture.
