Daughter of the Titans Coeus? and Phoebe, mother of the twins, Apollo and Artemis by Zeus. Called Latona by the Romans. She was pursued by a jealous Hera, mercilessly during her pregnancy. No land but Delos would allow her to give birth, for fear of Hera's wrath. Gave birth to Artemis first, who then assisted with the birth of Apollo.
