North America

Continent of the northern hemisphere of earth, located to the east of the Pacific Ocean, the west of the Atlantic Ocean, the south of the Arctic Ocean, and the north of South America. On the continent itself can be found three large and relatively populous countries:

• Canada
• Mexico
• United States

At the extreme southern end of the continent, in a relatively small area (smaller than an average Canadian province) called central America are:

• Belize
• Costa Rica
• El Salvador
• Guatemala
• Honduras
• Nicaragua
• Panama

In or very near the [Caribbean Sea]? are some island nations and territories, the most notable of which are:

• Aruba (Netherlands)
• [The Bahamas]?
• Cuba
• Dominican Republic
• Haiti
• Jamaica
• Puerto Rico (U.S. free associated state)
• Trinidad and Tobago

The country Greenland is considered to be in North American and is located way up north, to the east of the Canadian Northwest Territories.
