The major distinction is between how the beer is stored and served. The major breweries have a vested interest in promoting "keg" beer which is pressurised whereas CAMRA are advocates for "cask" beer which is the traditional unpressurised method of dispensation. There is a world of difference in the taste - cask is much more pleasant. sjc
So they're not about also brewing "real" ale from malted barley (vs. other grains?)
