I seriously don't know anything about accountants. Why am I starting an article on something I know nothing about? So that someone will get annoyed and fix my terrible handiwork. And it's past bedtime.
According to some sources, the inventor of accountancy was Luca Pacioli (1445?-1517?), who is credited with the invention of the 'Venetian method' of keeping accounts, now known as 'double-entry bookkeeping'.
