The WWII began on the 1st Sept. 1939 at 4:43am by bombing a town in Poland
called Wielun?. It was a barbaric act of cruelty on the part of
German Luftwaffe. There were no Polish troops stationed in the town,
no military instalations even significant industry.
During the attack
1200 civilians were killed including patients from a local hospital.
