William Kennedy Laurie Dickson

It has almost certainly been proved that W. K. L. Dickson was the actual inventor of the motion picture camera. He was under the employ of Thomas Edison. In fact, Edison saw very little value in the contraption, but thought that it might be served to endorse his phonograph.
