The Order and its relations with its neighbours (especially Poland) are the main motive in a novel by the Polish author Henryk Sienkiewicz Krzyzacy (The Teutonic Knights). (This novel, like most of Sienkiewicz's writings, shows strong pro-Polish and anti-German bias)
