A false dilemma is a way of arguing where one rejects an alternative, and then goes on to conclude that one's own idea must be correct. An example of this argument would be a
creationist saying:
(argument snipped) Thus, the Theory of Evolution is wrong, so God created the world. This way of arguing is a logical fallacy, because there may well be many other possibilities than just Evolution and Creationism.
The False dilemma is often hidden in a (rethorical) question, and then becomes akin to the fallacy of Many questions, as in Should the USA become a communist dictatorship, or should our party lead the country?
