Henry Moore

Twentieth century British sculptor. One of the most important sculptors to work with [abstract art]?, he is known for his monumental bronze sculptures that suggest natural contours without being figurative. Many of his best works fall into one of two categories; mother-and-child figures, and reclining figures.
