nomenclature question - aren't they more typically called the "Successor Kingdoms" in English? Maybe 'Empire' is common for the Ptolemies, but I'm fairly sure the Seleucids are usually called a "Kingdom." --

My historical reference does not use the term "Successor Kingdom" anywhere, and consistently refers to the Seleucid organization as an Empire. Needless to say, other perspectives are welcomed.
