Cytoplasm is the watery liquid present in cells. The material inside the nucleus is called nucleoplasm, and in the even that the outermost layer of the cells has different composition, it is called ectoplasm (as opposed to endoplasm). This stuff contains minerals, proteins, microtubules, organelles, and so forth.
