Regarding the Pope's cross at Auschwitz -- which camp is it outside? Camp I, II or III? If it is at Camp I (where the museum is), I might point out that few Jews were murdered at Camp I, they were mostly murdered at Camp II. Most of the people murdered at Camp I were Poles (i.e. Catholics) or Soviet POWs. How then can it be disrespectful to Jews to put a cross up outside a camp that was used mainly to kill Catholics and other non-Jews? -- SJK
I don't know how camps were numerated, but it was placed it this camp which was made in ex-barracks (the oldest one).
It is disrespectful, because the policy of Auschwitz museum was: "no religious symbols", and Catholic fundamentals put this cross
without asking or informing anyone, even museum council. Moreover, tt was rather political than religious initiative,
and using Auschwitz for politics isn't very respectful for those who died there.

Not really. Catholic Church has a lot of priviledges that no other religious group has.
