His father was Friedrich I of Brandenburg, Elector of Brandenburg, Burggrave of Nuremberg. Albert Archilles had a son named Frederick V of Ansbach, Margrave of Ansbach. His grandson Albert of Prussia (Albrecht of Brandenburg, Ansbach, Prussia) later became grandmaster of the Teutonic Knights.
During the Reformation? on the advice of Martin Luther, Albert Archilles' grandson became the first Duke of Prussia, a Protestant state.
