Difference (from prior major revision) (minor diff, author diff)

Changed: 1c1
Vangelis (pronounced to rhyme with "angle" not "angel") was born on 1943 in Greece. He is a [new age]? music star and one of most brilliant electronic composers. His real name is Evangelos Odyssey Papathanssiou. Although he has prepared several soundtracks in the last few decades and he has started composing, when he was 4 years-old, he is largely a self taught musician and he does not have substantial information on reading or writing musical notation. Being a keyboard player in many Greek rock bands, he began his solo career in early 1970s. He is best known by his Oscar-winning score to the Chariots of Fire and [[1492: Conquest of Paradise]] and Blade Runner. Some of his other famous works are: L' Apocalypse des Animaux, Heaven and Hell, China, Antarctica and Voices.
