Copenhagen

Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark and the largest city in Scandinavia. The Danish name for the city is København.

Copenhagen is located on eastern shore of the Sjælland island, across the body of water known as the Øresund, which faces the Swedish town of Malmö on the other side.

Since the summer 2000, the cities ofCopenhagen and Malmö have been connected by a toll bridge/tunnel which allows both rail and road passengers to cross. As a result, Copenhagen has become the center of a larger metropolitan area which spans both nations.
