In the Star Trek continuity, Inventor of the Warp Drive. Pilot of the first warp-powered flight on April 5th 2063. The warp signature was picked up by some Vulcans doing scientific research nearby, and so they initiated contact. Development of warp technology was the Vulcan's prerequisite for "first contact" with a civilization, a practice that continues through to the present continuity of the United Federation of Planets. |
