Difference (from prior major revision) (no other diffs)

Changed: 1c1
1957 Stanley Kubrick film in which, in WWI, a French general seeking a promotion orders a small number of soldiers to take a position on a hill which they clearly can not take. Most of them die; of those who survive and escape back to their own lines, three are chosen arbitrarily and put on trial for treason, punishable by death. Stars [Kirk Douglas]? as Colonel Dax, who defends the three men at their trial, and [George Macready]? as the general who orders the impossible assault. Based on a true story.
