Palestinians are an Arab people, whose traditions, history and ethinicity is centered on land formerlly in the Bristish Mandate of Palestine; i.e. present-day Israel, the Occupied Palestinian Territories (West Bank and Gaza) and surrounding countries such as Iraq. (really Iraq? That's a long way from Palestine. I'd guess that any Palestinians that far from home are refugees.) Palestinians are mostly Muslim, but there are many Christian Palestinians as well.
