Difference (from prior major revision) (minor diff, author diff)

Changed: 1c1
The Semitic Lamed stood for /l/ and so did the Greek (Λαμβδα, Lambda), Etruscan and Latin letters.
The twelfth letter of the Latin alphabet, L is derived ultimately from the Semitic Lamed which stood for the phonetic value /l/ as did the Greek Λ or λ (Lambda), as well as the equivalent Etruscan and Latin letters.
