1971 [Hal Ashby]? film based on the novel by Colin Higgins in which Harold, a wealthy young boy who attends funerals for fun and constantly stages his own suicides in an attempt to get his mother's attention, meets Maude, a 79-year-old woman who is very much his opposite: energetic, impulsive, and light-hearted. The two form an unlikely friendship.
