Channel F was the world'd first programmable cartridge-based system, released by Fairchild Camera Inc. It was released in 1976; it costed $169.95 for the console and $19.95 for the games. There was only a total of 21 cartridges released for the system, despite its initial popularity. Later on, Zircon. Intl. bought the rights to the Channel F and released the Channel F System 2. There were only 5 games released for the second system before its untimely death.

The graphics of the Channel F were largely comprised of big blocks, thought, at the time, it was pretty revolutionary. The controller on the Channel F was soret of a joystick without the base; you only needed one hand to use it.
