Changed: 1c1
The second letter of the latin alphabet. The letter B was not used in Etruscan, because this idiom only had no voiced plosives. Neverttheless, the Etruscans knew the letter that was derived by early Etruscans from Greek βετα (Beta). Its Latin sound value was probably due to Greek influence. The Semitic letter b¨ºt was also pronounced /b/, and the original meaning of the symbol was 'house'.
