Wind is movement of air in the atmosphere. Wind is most often caused by temperature differences caused by sunlight heating the gound, water and air, leading to expanding masses of air changing altitude.

Patterns in winds around the world has long been known, both as semi-permanent phenomena, such as the jet-stream?s and periodical occurrances, such as monsoon?s and hurricanes.
