Ulfilas

Ulfilas is the same as Wulfila or Wulfilas. Wulfila , meaning "little wolf " lived circa 310-383.

Arian bishop Wulfila began the translation of the bible from Greek into Gothic for his people. For this he established a Gothic alphabet writing system.

Fragments have survived and are known as the Codex argenteus.
