In the
Philosophy of religion, the belief in
God as unitary being. There are three major views of the role of God in the world in this context: the view that God created the world but does not interact with it, called
Deism; the view that God is wholly or partly the world, called
Pantheism or
Panentheism respectively; and proper Theism is the view that God is immanent
? in the world, yet transcends
? it.
The monotheistic religions, such as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, are typically theistic.
More generically, the belief in one or more gods.
