The term is used in [Linguistic typology]?. SVO denotes the sequence 'Subject Verb Object' in neutral expressions. It represents one type of languages when classifying languages according to the sequence of these constitutents. This sequence is the most common. English, Kiswahili and Chinese are example languages that follow this pattern. German may use SVO or OVS.
