Are you sure about "quarrel" being the container? So far as I knew, quarrel is synonymous with bolt -- the arrow-thingy not the quiver-thingy, to use technical parlance. My Merriam-Webster backs me up on that one, though obviously that's not a very authoritative source (Dammit, one of these days I'm buying an OED!) --
