Pomerania

Pomerania is the English name, Pommern is the German name of a land or province in north eastern Germany at the Baltic Sea.

After 1945 this land was partially taken over by communists. The part of Pomerania, which has been under Poland is now called Pomorze Pomorski in Polish language.

The western part of Pomerania is part of the German Bundesland Mecklenburg-Vorpommern .
