In Physics and Chemistry, plasma is an energetic state of atomic matter where some electrons in the outer orbitals have become separated.

Three lower energy phases of matter are solid, [liquid]], and gas. Everyday forms of plasma are the sun, which is a sphere of plasma heated by nuclear fusion, and fluorescent and neon Electric lights which use plasma to excite phosphors? that emit visible light.
