German sociologist and social systems philosopher. Founder of the [sociological systems theory]?.

Born 1927 in Lüneburg, Germany; Administration-expert, sociologist, systemtheorist. Studied law first, was then active as an administration-expert, after research-activity at the beginning of the sixties, 1966 graduation and habilitation in the faculty sociology at the University of Münster, since 1968 lecturing sociology at the University of Bielefeld, Germany.

Literature: Extensive publicisitc work with more than three dozen books: Main works: 1984 'Soziale Systeme' / Social systems, 1988-1997: A book series: Die .. der Gesellschaft and finally, 1997 'Die Gesellschaft der Gesellschaft.
