Probably the most well-known prayer from the Christian religion. Excerpted from (Chapter 11???) of the Gospel of St. Luke in the New Testament, it was given by Jesus Christ in response to a request from the Apostles for guidance on how to pray.

Although numerous variations exist, this version, from the 1928 Book of Common Prayer, is a fairly well known example:

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done,
on Earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
