Lindy Hop developed in the Savoy ballroom in Harlem?.

The two major styles of Lindy danced today are [Savoy-Style Lindy Hop]? and Hollywood-Style Lindy Hop.

The basic step is called the Swing Out. It takes 8 counts to complete, and involves the dancers coming together, swinging around, and returning to their original positions. It is often combined with a side by side position involving Charleston kicks or other steps.
