The importance of links

Links are important. Especially in projects like Wikipedia. They join, reinforce individual articles and form associations. Wikipedia links are unique that they are potential links.
When you create a link to some notion on your page it is actually linking to some page, provided it exists, or "waits" for a page to be created.
Without the special wiki links you would have to monitor the whole Wikipedia project and if a relevant page appeared, would have to create the link.
So when you're writing about tulip?s, [door knob]?s, [nostril hair]? or Alexander the Great - CREATE LIKS.
