Hematite

Hematite is mineral iron oxide (Fe₂O₃), sometimes with slight amounts of titanium.

It is a very common mineral, coloured black to gray, brown to reddish brown, or red. It is the main ore or iron.

Varieties are called: Bloodstone, Iron Rose, Kidney Ore, Martite, Paint Ore, Specularite (Specular Hematite), Rainbow Hematite and Titano-hematite.
