Organ of vision.

In vertebrate?s, it creates real images of objects in the retina, where the light is detected and transformed into electrical impulses that are transmited through the [optical nerve]? to the brain. Its shape is roughly spherical, filled with a gel-like substance. At one extreme, covered by the cornea?, there is a muscle that controls the amount of light that enters the eye, this muscle is called the iris?.
