Elizabeth I of England

Elizabeth, known as The Virgin Queen, was Queen of England at the end of the 16th century.

She took over from her half-sister Mary I of England.

She never married and eventually died childless. She was succeeded by James I of England, her cousin Mary, Queen of Scots' son, who was already James VI of Scotland.
