The Arab Republic of Egypt (Arabic:
Jumhuriyat Misr al-Arabiyah, where Misr is the word
for Egypt) is a nation of northeastern
Africa. It includes the
Sinai Peninsula, possibly considered part of
Asia. Its capital is
Cairo.
