Dylan is a Dynamic Language created by a group within
Apple Computer. It was originally intended for the
Newton but their implementation did not ever reach a level of maturity sufficient to allow it to ship as a product (though it did ship as a technology demonstration). However, the language design was intriguing enough that at least one company and a university implemented
compilers and development environments for Dylan that were quite good. Notable for being completely [object oriented]
