District of Columbia

Part of the United States but not a state itself, the District holds the capital city of Washington, D.C., and many national landmarks such as the White House, United States Capitol, the [Washington Monument]?, the Library of Congress, the [Jefferson Memorial]? and the [Lincoln Memorial]?.
