Desert

In physical geography, a form of landscape with none or very little organic life coupled with scarce rainfall?.

There are different forms of deserts. The desert is not necessary composed of sand, it may also consist mainly of rocky terrain or even salt flats.

Great deserts include:

• Sahara, Kalahari in Africa
• Australia: Simpson desert, [Great Sandy desert]?, Sturts stony desert, [Tanami desert]?, [Great Victoria desert]?.
• Gobi, Kara-Kum
• Thar Desert in India.
