Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit

Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit , also called Gabriel Daniel Fahrenheit was born May 1686 in Danzig Prussia . Upon early death of his parents he had to take up business training. But his interest in natural sciences had him take up studies and experimenting in that field. Fahrenheit's studies brought him to Amsterdam , where he held lectures in chemistry. In 1724 he became a member of the Royal Society. He developed precise thermometers . The Fahrenheit scale was used in Germany until a switch to Celsius . In the USA and other anglican lands Fahrenheit is still the current temperature measure.
