Dextromethorphan hydrobromide

Also called DXM HBr, d-Form hydrobromide of Racemethorphan, demorphan hydrobromide, Canjodion, Cosylan, Benylin DM.

Hallucinogenic drug that can cause disassociation and dreamlike mental effects, visual and aural hallucinations lasting up to eight hours in sufficiently high dosage. It can also cause vomiting and fever.

It is found in certain over-the-counter cough suppressants and its misuse stems from these. The mix of drugs present can make achieving an effective dose (needs 200-400mg) quite dangerous and trying it with the wrong mix altogether can be fatal.
