Cytochrome is a protein found in the matrix of the Mitochondria. It performs ionization? on and pumps the H+ from NADH2 and FADH2 (which were produced in glycosis?, the intermidetary step, and the Citric acid cycle) to an outer mitochondrial membrame. Cytochromes are partly composed of iron, and so are capable of performing Oxidation and reduction. There are 5 kinds of cytochrome:

The energy created from the H+ passing through the [ATP synthase]? via diffusion is used to create ATP.
