This new definition is a little provincial. "Cinema" has been a common term for the movies, ordinary movies, in England, Australia, etc; 'le cinema' has had the same use in France. I put these comments in the past tense because I don't know the current idiom.
I agree 100%, but i did this because Film is (until now) the place where information about Cinema/Film?/Movies? has been put up. I would also be keen to have it changed to Cinema, but am not entirely sure. I think someone should inquire in Film/Talk --Creaktop
