BDSM stands for Bondage, Domination, Sadism and Masochism, and describes a form of sexual behaviour involving amongst other things sexual sadism and masochism in a context that is 'safe, sane and consensual'

Some BDSM terminology:

• submissive (sub)
• dominant (dom) (also dominatrix)
• switch
