Eldest son of King
Henry VII of England. Was named after the hero of Arthurian legend as a sign of his father's great hopes for a rebirth of English greatness. Arthur died before he could mount the throne, however, and his brother
Henry became the next King.
Henry did not only inherit Arthur's title he also was given his dead brother's wife Catherine of Aragon.
