Showing revision 12
The Arc de Triomphe can be found on the Champs-Elysees?, the most beautiful avenue in Paris, France. This monument was built in the 19th century and was inspired by Roman architecture. It is more than 50 metres tall and is located on [La Place de l'Etoile]?, which is the middle of a large roundabout? into which feeds many major Parisan avenues, notably including [la Grande Armée]? and the Champs-Elysees.

It is one of the French monuments that evoke a strong feeling of history. The [Tomb of the Unknown Soldier]? from the First World War, with its eternal flame lit in memory of the dead who were never identified, is revisited every November 11 on the anniversary of the armistice? signed between France and Germany in 1918.

Pedestrian access to the Arc de Triomphe is via an underpass.
